These are some of the postcards of the Turners Falls, MA area sold by my Grandfather, John W. Haigis when he was in partnership with Mr. Bardwell in a corner book store in Turners between 1905 and 1910. |

The picture of Samoset Island above is from 1910 and sold by Bardwell and Haigis. To the right is a picture taken in March 2008 of what I think is the same island. Behind the island is the creek that flows in from Factory Hollow |

The postcards were printed in Germany and when they were starting out they were in black and white . Judging from the postmarks, they sold color postcards around 1910 |
