These are some of the postcards of the Turners Falls, MA area sold by my Grandfather, John W. Haigis when he was in partnership with Mr. Bardwell in a corner book store in Turners between 1905 and 1910.
The picture of Samoset Island above is from 1910 and sold by Bardwell and Haigis. To the right is a picture taken in March 2008 of what I think is the same island. Behind the island is the creek that flows in from Factory Hollow
The postcards were printed in Germany and when they were starting out they were in black and white . Judging from the postmarks, they sold color postcards around 1910
